I bought a used MacBook from hoxtonmacs and, at least from what I could tell, the price seemed fair compared with a few other places I checked. Maybe I didn’t compare absolutely everywhere, but it felt like good value. The condition was basically as described, just a couple of tiny marks that didn’t really bother me. Delivery was fine as well. It wasn’t perfect, but overall I’m happy with what I got for the money.

The Mac arrived with a bunch of scratches, so it didn’t feel like it was in good condition at all. Because of that, I was disappointed with the purchase...

I bought a Mac from hoxtonmacs.co.uk a little while back, I think it was early last month or maybe the end of the month before, and I was impressed with how well it was packed.
The Mac arrived in a really sturdy box with loads of padding inside, so there was no rattling around or anything feeling loose. The corners were protected properly too, which is something I always worry about with deliveries.
It turned up clean, safe, and with no damage at all. It sounds like a simple thing, but when you’re ordering something like a Mac, good packaging really does make a big difference

I was messing around with the setup for a bit and thought I’d probably missed something obvious, so I ended up contacting support. After a couple of friendly messages, they figured it out quickly and got everything working without making it a hassle. Nice and straightforward in the end.

I ordered from Hoxton Macs and the delivery was okay in the end, but it took longer than I was expecting. The updates made it seem like it was coming sooner, so I ended up checking the tracking way too much and getting a bit stressed about whether it had gone missing or not.

Just a heads up for anyone looking at used MacBooks: mine looked fine when it arrived, but the battery health was worse than I expected and it drains fast. Maybe the details were listed and I just missed them, but for the price, I thought it would be in better shape. Delivery was okay, no real issues there, but I’m definitely disappointed with the battery.

It’s mostly accurate and the descriptions usually match up, but it definitely has its moments where it feels like it only works when it wants to. Not terrible, just a few small misses here and there that can get a little annoying

I don’t know, something about the experience just made my trust feel a little shaky lol. I’m not saying it was awful, but I didn’t come away feeling super confident either...

So yeah, the MacBook works. No major issues getting it set up, and for basic stuff it’s been fine. The condition was just a bit more worn than I expected. Some marks, a little rougher overall. Battery is okay too, not amazing, but it gets by. For the price, I’m not too mad about it. Usable, just not perfect.

I had a warranty issue come up and wasn’t sure how much hassle it was going to be, but they got it sorted quickly with no fuss. That’s kind of what you hope for in these situations, isn’t it?

I had to return a Mac, and it was easier than I expected. The return labels were clear, and support got back to me quickly when I had a question. The refund took a few days to show up, but it wasn’t a big deal. Overall, I felt relieved that it all went through without any hassle.
